IT Assist moves employees beyond statement of facts to instilling the ability to respond in the context of normal or difficult situations. We provide training material that is not in a vacuum, but is driven by the people involved; we incorporate information collected from questions and discussions back into the material; and we simulate different conditions that bring the material to life.
Training starts with dialogue to capture as much information about each IT team's background, ideas, knowledge, organization, day-to-day job responsibilities, misconceptions and any other information that improves the delivery and development of training content. This engagement occurs in an online collaborative space of posted questions, discussions and through research of the organization's needs.
Knowledge from this dialogue serves as a barometer of what is covered and emphasized. The dialogue continues throughout and after the training session to build an online community that organically grows the training content and its relevance.
This format of training is achievable by dividing the content into small modules and putting forth the effort to adapt. IT Assist's mission is to help others develop and pass on knowledge and to guide people toward professional success. IT Assist's availability does not end with the training session but extends out to help personnel at the critical points.
